Text Box: Imagine my surprise, and delight, when I received Merle’s article for this month.  For awhile now, I had been thinking about running an article of my own asking for information about my house and neighborhood.  You see, Tom and Anna Moots are the former owners of my home, and that’s about all I knew, except for three priceless pictures that were given to me by Jean Clark, from whom I bought this house in 1998.  

I know that my house is approximately 150 years old and has been added on to since the Moots’ lived here.  From what I understand, the Moots family owned the first house coming in to town, (now owned by Larry Schultz), and my house.  

All of the historical pictures that I see of Maiden Rock are in the downtown area and I have yet to see any pictures of my house and neighborhood....out here in the burbs!  If anyone has any knowledge of the history of my house, and/or picture of it and the surrounding area, I would Text Box: sure appreciate hearing from you.  On page two are the pictures given to me by Jean.  Thanks!

Text Box: One thing in life is for certain (other than death and taxes) holidays bring out the relatives and the relatives bring out every buried emotion that one has tucked away from the past holiday seasons.  Some relatives are delightful, some are contrary, some are odd but all evoke the same questions with a huge resounding.….. Why!  Why did they do this or Text Box: that, or why don’t they think like we think, you know, the right way.  Why, why, why. 
It always takes my wife and I about a day to come down from a holiday get together.  The remark that often comes up is “how can we all be from the same family?”  I suppose to an outsider we all look harmonious, like a bunch of cashew nuts, just
