SUMMERFEST “THANK YOUS” AND PICTURES

The Community Association Members who spent months planning the event:  Ed & Merle Sjostrom, Arnie & Evy Johnson, Jim Randers, Phil Roberts, Peggy Rother, Pat Laughlin, Julie Hecksel, Joyce Walsh, Tracy Miller & Jennifer Smith.  Sue Kraft & her son Ricky for being the Grand Marshall’s.  Dennis Walsh for driving them in the parade with his convertible.  Doug Sjostrom for providing the wagon for the parade announcers. Jeff Miller for providing the sound system for the parade, Phil Roberts, Ross Johnson & Pat Laughlin for parade organizing and line-up, Peggy Rother & Helen Sullivan for announcing, and all the parade participants.  Joe Ortwerth for cooking the chicken, Gwen Anderson for the potato salad, Park Service for the buns, Joyce Walsh for organizing the chicken and working all day at the stand, Helen Sullivan, Terry Cuddy, Ruth Viste, Joyce Johnson, Amy Walsh, Joanie Fitch for serving the chicken, Mary Vagt, Judy Daleiden for working the cashbox.  Phil Roberts & Peggy Rother for handling the Sand Mine Tours, Jeff Baum, Tim Stauffer, Al Nelson for taking people on the tours.  Jim & Jan Randers for working the MRACA table.  Evy Johnson, Andy Rother, Avery Balzer, Hannah Sjostrom, Kathy Cole, Taylor & Tyler Clifford, Chase Lanz, Matt Gore, Kathleen DeMaster, Melissa Meier for working at the children’s games.  Kim & Doug Sjostrom, Teresa Meier, Betty Gore, Gina Hinrichs, Melissa Meier, Pam Clifford, Tiffany & Gay Heath for working the 4-H Foodstand.  Jeff Baum for sponsoring Mike Girdeen’s Bluff Springs Trout Fishing Pond & Mary Roberts for working all day at the pond.  Bruce & Julie Hecksel aka Patchouli for the daytime musical entertainment, Last Call, sponsored by the Fire Department for the night band, Jeff Miller for providing the sound system for the bands.  Tracy Miller for organizing the pajama vollyball game.  Wendy Dart, Danielle Dart, Miranda Abel, Cynde Randall for working the Audubon Table.  Jim Lanz, Wayne Larson, Dave Kukes and their crew for the Firemen’s Beer Tent.  Tracy Miller & Roger Erickson for arranging, cleaning and delivering the dunk tank, and the crew that sat in the dunk tank.  Mr. & Mrs. Al for their Kettle Corn.  Barry Stockwell for his Maple Treats Ice Cream.  Arnie & Evy Johnson, Ed & Merle Sjostrom, Joyce Walsh, Peggy Rother for procuring and organizing the button prizes.  Peggy Rother & Helen Sullivan for taking photos.  Arnie Johnson for painting the sign at the entrance to the park, and Roger Field for helping Arnie re-muont the sign.  And all who attended to make this festival a success. The list of winning button numbers will appear in the Ellsworth Shopper, and all of the local businesses have the list as well.  The list will also be posted on the Maiden Rock website ~ maidenrock.org
